OVI Substance Abuse Assessments
The Mind Changers Counseling and More, LLC provides professional substance abuse assessments for individuals charged with Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) in the State of Ohio. These assessments are commonly required by courts, probation departments, attorneys, or Driver Intervention Programs (DIP) following an OVI arrest or conviction.
The purpose of the assessment is to determine whether alcohol or drug use may be contributing to risky driving behaviors and to identify the appropriate level of education, intervention, or treatment.
Each evaluation is conducted by a licensed chemical dependency counselor using clinical interviews and standardized screening tools. The assessment reviews:
- Alcohol and drug use history
- Current patterns of substance use
- Driving and legal history
- Risk factors for substance misuse
- Behavioral health considerations
Following the evaluation, individuals receive professional recommendations and documentation that can be provided to the court, probation officer, or attorney.

Anger Management Groups
Helping Men Recover (HMR) is a gender-responsive, trauma-informed treatment program for men presented in sessions . HMR addresses what is often missing in prevailing treatment modes: a clear understanding of the impact of male socialization on the recovery process, a consideration of the relational needs of men, a healthy exploration of sex and sexuality, investigation of concepts of power, and a focus on the issues of abuse and trauma (both experienced and perpetrated) The program model is organized into four modules that emphasize the core areas of men’s recovery: Self, Relationships, Sexuality, and Spirituality.

The Mind Changers Counseling and More, LLC, specializes in working with clients that have substance abuse and dependency concerns.
As a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) and a specialist in Anger Management, I have the life-experience, skills, and knowledge to facilitate positive change and healing in my clients. My mission is to share the wisdom and life-lessons I have learned from being a former law enforcement officer and addictions professional. “I am who you are. I live what you live.” I believe that to whom much is given, much is required. I would be grateful and honored to share my life-experience and knowledge with you.
